NB Golf Cars was recently featured in the Sioux Falls Business Journal. The business opened its doors in 1978 in Hendricks, MN and became one of the first Club Car distributors in the nation. Since NB partnered with McGowan Capital Group in 2007, the company has grown substantially from seven to 27 employees and the golf car market demands expansion of their operations. They have opened a second store in Des Moines and the Sioux Falls store has many repeat customers from five surrounding states. Current expansion plans include stores in Custer, Rapid City and Spearfish, SD.
The Sioux Falls location stocks around 300 models at any given time, both new and used, for sale or lease that can carry from two to eight people. Cars can be gas or electric, can include boxes and/or coolers, and can be enclosed and heated, making them useable all year. They can also be adapted for the needs of golf course superintendents, security personnel, harbor patrol staff, park rangers, farmers and contractors. Also, the four-wheel drive model can accommodate a 48 inch plow for clearing snow. General Manager of the Sioux Falls store, Jim Koehn, said, “We like helping customers picture exactly what they are thinking. We take the time to lay everything out and walk people through the process so they can physically see what they are getting
The company emphasizes low pressure sales tactics in a friendly environment with quality service. “Helping our customers build the car of their dreams and seeing their excitement when they get it for the first time is truly rewarding,” said Koehn.
