On April 15, 2015, Sajan, Inc. (SAJA), a leading global language services and translation management technology provider, and McGowan Capital Group portfolio company, announced the addition of an enterprise terminology management feature to its translation management system, Transplicity. The term management capability is the latest tool to be integrated into Transplicity, a robust technology that global organizations use to manage and simplify their translation project workflows.
The terminology management feature lets those involved with translation projects access up-to-date, validated corporate terminology for use in translations. Linguists and content creators can use these glossaries to help preserve global companies’ brand identities and messaging in target markets while maintaining translation consistency in target locales.
Setting it apart from other technologies of this type is its deep integration with Sajan’s patented contextualized translation memory throughout the translation workflow. There is also a prescribed workflow for the terminology management feature itself.
Because it’s fully integrated into Transplicity, clients can more easily manage their organizations’ product-specific terms, organize them according to departments or categorize their terms by product lines, all from one cloud-based portal. The system allows for online addition and editing of terminology, and control of glossary terms status. Functionality also includes on-demand reporting, status editing and exporting into .tbs model, and interoperability with other systems and architectures.
“This terminology management feature is our latest enhancement to Transplicity, the most personalized and flexible translation management system on the market,” said Stephen Holmes, Vice President of Technology. “We’ve already received very positive feedback from our clients, and it paves the way toward even more features we’re adding down the road.”
